Physical and chemical properties: odorless and sweet. Soluble in hot alcohols, chloroform, benzene, and carbon disulfide, insoluble in water and petroleum ether. The melting point is about 55 ℃.
Function and purpose: This product has emulsifying, lubricating, and hardening effects, and is used as an emulsifier, lubricant, ointment matrix, etc. in pharmaceuticals. Commonly used in the manufacturing of creams, ointments, suppositories, lotions, etc. This product is also a food additive used in the manufacturing of emulsified foods, pastries, etc. It is also widely used in the daily chemical industry, for manufacturing various daily chemical products such as creams, soaps, shampoos, waterproof paper, adhesives, etc. Used for metal polishing, as well as in the production of adhesives, dentures, polishes, and waterproof paper. Used as an additive in the textile industry sizing and leather fatliquoring processes.
Application example: 1. Milk like anti sweat agent: 2.5g of glycerol tristearate and 3.5g of glycerol monostearate. 0.3g of octadecyldimethylamine, 0.5g of liquid paraffin, 0.1g of lactic acid, 1g of diethyl montmorillonite, 40ml of 50% basic aluminum chloride solution, and 100ml of distilled water. Commonly made into emulsions.
2. Massage cream, lanolin 10g, liquid paraffin 30g, white vaseline 20g, white wax 10g. 5g of glycerol tristearate, 2.5g of glycerol monostearate, 0.2g of borax, 0.5g of proronic, an appropriate amount of flavoring agent and antioxidant, distilled water added to 100g, and commonly used to make a cream.
Compatibility changes: This product undergoes oxidation and decomposition reactions when exposed to strong oxidants and acids, and generates soap when exposed to alkalis.
