Product Introduction
HA-AL can serve as a protective colloid and complexing agent for the dyeing process of cellulose fibers and polyester/cellulose fiber blended fabrics. It can prevent sedimentation caused by hard water and other impurities during the dyeing process of grey fabric and can be used for pre-treatment and scouring.
This product is different from ordinary water softeners and will not react with metal ions in the dye during dyeing, causing changes in color and brightness. It can be used as a soaping agent for reactive dyes, with a more pronounced effect on lake blue and bright red colors.

Performance and Characteristics
HA-AL has excellent dispersion effect on grey fabric impurities that can precipitate in alkaline dye solution. The complexation effect of HA-AL on various calcium ions is similar to products derived from ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid or nitrotriacetic acid. However, compared to these complexes, HA-AL does not dissolve various metal ions, such as copper and chromium contained in metal complex dyes, thus does not affect the activity of metal complexes and the color and fastness of direct dyes. HA-AL has no dye retention effect in the dyeing bath, and as this product has no surface activity, it will not foam.
Application
1. Dyeing of polyester cotton blended fabrics
Usually, cotton impurities dissolved in acidic media after dyeing the polyester part of grey fabric can easily form precipitates in the subsequent alkaline dyeing tank. Due to its dispersion and complexation properties, the addition of this product can prevent the occurrence of such precipitates, especially during the dyeing process. This product is used at a concentration of 1-2 grams per liter and is added during the initial stage of dyeing.
2. Dyeing cotton fabrics with vat dyes
Due to its protective colloid effect in alkaline dyeing solutions and significant chelating effect on metal ions such as calcium and magnesium, this product is highly suitable for dyeing cotton fabrics with vat dyes. After using this product, there is no need to add special protective colloids or complexing agents. The application concentration of this product in the working fluid is 1-3 g/L.
3. Reactive dyes for dyeing cotton fabrics
When using reactive dyes for dyeing, various ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid type complexing agents cannot be used because they can dissolve the complexed metal ions from many dyes, thereby reducing the color fastness of the dyed fabric. On the contrary, HA-AL does not infringe on metal complex dyes, therefore, polyphosphates can be replaced at the same concentration during the reactive dye dyeing process.
